November Favourites

I can't believe this year has gone by so fast, it seems like yesterday was January! Oh well when you are in school and busy working time just flies! Anyway, here is a list of my November Favourites that I would like to share with you guys!
1. First of I am adoring this eyeshadow pallete from NARS called Cordura.
These duos are so buttery soft, and easy to work with especially for a person like me who gets tired of trying to blend blend and has no time in the mornings! These babies you can slap them on with a dome brush or a pencil one on your lower eyes and it just gives you the most subtle but sexy smokey eyes! I have heard a lot of hype over NARS eyeshadows in the past and did purchase Underworld and Brousse a long time ago. Sadly I have returned them because I just thought it was not worth CAD $38 at that time, but recently decided to give them a second chance and ran out and got Cordura which was a keeper!
I dont know maybe I will repurchase Underworld, because I am hooked on some blues on my eyes ths month too!

2. As of winter coming, my lips have been so chapped lately I have been religiously using this Avene Cold Creme Lip Balm.
Now this I am not sure if it does anything or not but it is just a smooth creme that I would put on every night before going to bed or wake up in the morning and apply it before makeup. Surely my chapped lips have gotten better after I started using this but the most important thing I love about this is because it doesnt have that Vaseliney taste or smell and it is very smooth to apply as opposed to Vaseline where you have to dig your hands in there and its all greasy and that kinda stuff. So it is worth it to be in your purse when you just need a clean fresh lip balm that will help you throughout winter!

3. MAC paintpots in Constructivist and Painterly.
Not much to say about these, Im sure all of you know about its wonders! Its just great primer for eye shadows, makes them last all 24 hours, as well as really pigmented and nice eyeshadows alone itself. Especially, painterly you can dab it onto your eyelids all over and then I just put a little v in the outer corner with constructivist to pop up whatever color im putting on top of that v. To me that transition of color from biege to nice dark gold brown really is a staple smokey eye look!

4. Fairy Drops Scandal Queen Mascara.
This mascara is originally from Japan and when I first heard about it from kokolaroo http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=0iEPn_Yo6uY I thought that her eyelashes look pretty similar to mine and I'll give it shout. I got this from Sephora and thinking about their great return policies I thought to myself why not try it. I applied first coat and I was amazed!!! I have never thought my eyelashes will curl and stay that way and have that much volume after just one coat!!! I was super happy and even threw out my eyelash curler into the garbage!!! The only thing with this mascara is that it clumps after a while, but you can get around that easy, just be careful!

5. Issey Miyake L'eau D'Issey.
Now this is a total different change for me. Usually I wear musky, jasminey fragrances, but this one is very floral and fresh scent that I wanted to try for the longest time. I got the rollerball bottle and I have been loving it this month! It is just the right amount of floral, feminine and sweetness in one bottle! This has been really picking me up in this cold weather and it really gives you that warmness of fresh flowers in the spring! I am loving it and thinking of purchasing a bigger bottle for my counter!!!

6. Estee Lauder's Pure Colour 182 Pinkberry.

I got this in a gift package from someone and I thought to myself it is really pretty but way to plummy color for my taste. I have been literally keeping it away in some other cabinet with the makeup I dont use anymore, and decided to test this baby out this month! I was amazed how great it looked on my skin tone (medium dark) and have been religiously using it since the very first day I tried! It is almost empty and I literally have finished it within a month! I love the smell of Estee Lauder lipticks, and also the texture - very smooth, sheer and moisturizing. I love the colour pinkberry and maybe when it as summer when i recieved my package I just tried it on on my tanned skin it looked off or smth but I am loving it on my slightly pale skin in the winter!

7. MAC 219 and Sephora Professional Crease brush in #10.

I love using the MAC 219 under my eyes and to create a v with dark colours (Cordura for instance this month) and I am loving #10 just to blend and soften  the color all over eyelids. #10 is really great if you just want to concentrate the colour in one area or blend it out as a v again in the outer corner. Doesn't take too much skill or patience to use these brushes, and thats why they are amazing!

8.MAC Club Eye shadow and MAC Sable Eye shadow.
I love the dimensions Club releases, it has some greens but also browns and even greys and once you apply it - your eyes just look like you have used 3 different colours! I love how buttery soft it is and how concentrated the color is in one swap with the brush! Btw it doesn't release the excess colour in some colours you have to tap it off with the brushes - so it is really again easy to work with. Same goes for Sable. Really warm and rich brown. If you have too much darkness or black going on and you just want to soften it up - Sable is the colour, really nice and warm - makes your hazel eyes look bigger!

9.MAC Coquette Eye shadow.
This one I am mentioning it separate because I love using it on my eyebrows. Usually I used to use Brun but it was just too dark and I realized it looks awkward on my pale winter face. I love Coquette because it gives you that subtle brown/grey colour to just highlight your brow hairs and fill in any empty spots on your brows! Really nice, try it out! Not too many people know this one!

10. Lollipop by Essie nail polish.

I was watching ttsandra on you tube http://www.youtube.com/user/ttsandra?blend=16&ob=5 (she is lovely and a lot of her make up style goes along with mine) and her favourite red color is Lollipop by Essie. Now Essie alone is a really good nail polish company, really high quality, long lasting nail polish manufacturer. I first thought it was a little too loud for my liking, but then again it grew on me because I wanted to have some holiday red nails! Thanks Sandra!

Anyway these are the products I am loving this month and can't wait to post December Favourites that will include a lot of glittery and holiday style make up!!!

Take Care.

Christmas Wishlist

Christmas is almost here guys, and what a wonderful way to start my wishlist as an opening post to my new blog!
Here I go:

1. Pippa Handbag in Shark. I have been eyeing this baby for a while since Pippa Middleton first showed off hers at the wedding or even maybe earlier. Nevertheless, I do believe this is a gorgeous bag for every girl and this is definitely my number one on the list! For those of you who live in Canada, Town Shoes carries the Brand that makes them: Modalu London. So keep checking! It is CAD $225

2. Lorraine's Necklace. This is a staple necklace that is really eye catching and everybody seems to have it on you tube! I have an addiction of unique jewellery and I think this should be a cute little update to my jewellery collection! They come in different lengths, I adore the 42" one because you can really do different styles with it. I want the gold one in 42" which is USD $89 and shipping is USD $6 Worldwide!  Here is the link: http://thecurrentcustom.blogspot.com/2010/01/highly-requested-necklace.html

3. Deborah Lippman Superstar Nail Polish. With the holiday season being here I just feel like I need to put sparkles on my nails. I love this colour mainly because it's not too loud but still has some pretty glitters that can pick you up for the holiday season!

4. UGG Adirondack II Boots. Being in Canada is not easy in winter time. It snows a lot and then they spray lots and lots of salt which gives you no option to wear boots that are super water resistant and rubber so that you don't damage your lovely leather ones. I have never been a fan of the classic UGG boots but these guys will come in handy when January and February hits us with lots and lots of snowstorms here in Canada! It is CAD $330, wow!

Wilfred Augustina Blouse in Silk Georgette
5. Last but not least is Wilfred Augustine Blouse in Silk. This is a brand name company that only Aritzia carries I think. Wilfred makes amazing quality clothing and is quite on the expensive side. Nevertheless, this silk blouse is a staple for any wardrobe in my opinion and the army colour compliments all styles of look you're going for! This blouse is CAD $135 in Aritzia. I believe Aritzia stores are also now open in NYC and major American cities! YAY

That's it for now! What are your Christmas wishlist guys?!
Take Care.
